I was born in a little town in Nebraska but moved to Minnesota at an early age and grew up on a farm near Starbuck, Minnesota.
At the age of 17, I entered the United States Air Force and served 20+ years in various places including North Carolina, Louisiana, Colorado, Vietnam, Japan and others during my tour. I retired from the Air Force in 1980 and began working for a large electronic firm as a shift manager.
My wife, Naomi and I moved to Eureka, Montana in June of 1983, bought some property through the original owners of Cut Diamond Realty and began to build our home.
I attended college in Kalispell, Montana studying surveying from which I graduated with an Associates Degree. I then spent six years working for a surveyor in Kalispell with various duties including P-lines, staking, land surveys and other duties.
I received my Salesman’s Real Estate License in 1992 and went to work with Howard and Verdie Smith who owned Cut Diamond Realty. I received my Brokers License in 1995 and Naomi and I bought the company from Verdie in September of 1995 after the death of Howard and we have been here ever since.
In addition to selling real estate, I am an avid shooter and am a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor.
